“There seems to be an invidious virus that is going around the country these days, and it’s infecting individuals and institutions whose sole duty is to make sure that equal justice is administered to all those involved in the criminal justice system,” the judge said.

The State Commission on Judicial Conduct issued a public admonition to a state district judge who in a nepotism trial told jurors the country was “infected” by a group that considered itself a class above the rest.

In addition, the commission issued three public warnings and a public admonition to four municipal court judges who failed to complete their required judicial education in 2022-2023.
