A third class action trial began Tuesday in Oregon against electricity provider PacifiCorp over a series of wildfires that ravaged the state over Labor Day weekend in 2020.
“You get to decide how to compensate the survivors of PacifiCorp’s fires,” Chicago-based Edelson partner Nicholas Rosinia told jurors in Portland in his opening statement, according to coverage of the trial by Courtroom View Network. “You get to hold PacifiCorp accountable for what it’s done.”
