Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison partner Bruce Birenboim, who is representing Davis Polk & Wardwell in a retaliation lawsuit, on Tuesday raised concerns that the plaintiff’s use of time could lead to “an impossible situation for the court” and potential appellate issues.
Plaintiff Kaloma Cardwell’s attorney David Jeffries has approximately 15 hours remaining to present the rest of his case, including questioning Cardwell himself and cross-examining defense witnesses, and to deliver his closing argument, U.S. District Judge Gregory Woods of the Southern District of New York said on Tuesday afternoon.
