Slaughter and May, Latham & Watkins and Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison have taken the lead roles as British billionaire and chairman of INEOS, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, purchases a 25% stake in Premier League football club Manchester United for approximately $1.3 billion. 

Ratcliffe has purchased 25% of the club’s class B shares from owners of Manchester United, the Glazer Family, and will tender offer to acquire up to 25% of the publicly listed class A shares, according to a statement from INEOS.
