A federal judge in Virginia sided with the owner of a boatyard in a $350,000 lawsuit against him for allegedly selling a customer’s abandoned boat following numerous years of no-contact and a lack of payment regarding the boat’s storage.

In a June 26 opinion, U.S. District Judge John A. Gibney, Jr., of the Eastern District of Virginia granted summary judgment to the defendants, Susanna Starr Pullman, Deltaville Boatyard, and others, concluding they had established no genuine dispute of material fact existed as to the boat on all counts, leaving the court to grant their motion.
