India Finally Liberalizes its Legal Market, Foreign Firms Set to Move In

The Bar Council of India (BCI) has announced the liberalisation of the Indian legal market after more than two decades of restrictions.

On Wednesday, the BCI published the India Rules for Registration and Regulation of Foreign Lawyers and Foreign Law Firms in India, 2022, which enables international lawyers and arbitration practitioners to provide legal advice in India.
