Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton has added Allen & Overy derivatives and structured finance partner Deborah North to its roster in New York, the firm announced Wednesday.

North had been at A&O for just over 22 years, and was promoted to partner in its London office in 2008. Her hire comes as Cleary anticipates current economic factors will drive work in the practice.
