The horse race between states passing data privacy regulations continues: as soon as one governor signs their bill into law, two more are inching their way through legislatures on the other side of the country.

After Indiana, Montana and Tennessee, Texas also made the growing list when it passed the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) earlier this month, which is now awaiting signature from Governor Greg Abbott.
