The closing of Reddit’s oversubscribed IPO earlier this month is certainly an event that IPO market participants are celebrating. It is anticipated that Reddit’s successful transaction will jumpstart an IPO market that has seen very limited activity over the past two years.

Not only did Reddit and its bankers overcome challenging market conditions, but also Reddit’s legal team guided the company over numerous hurdles thrown their way during the IPO process, which began back in the fourth quarter of 2021. For example, in February 2023, Reddit experienced a data security incident in which an attacker gained access to internal information and documents.
