International plaintiffs firm Pogust Goodhead has taken its campaign to collect damages on behalf of Brazilian victims of a mining spill to a court in the Netherlands, where it will be assisted by Dutch litigation firm Lemstra Van der Korst.

The claim against Brazilian mining giant Vale and its Dutch subsidiary seeks £3 billion on behalf of seven Brazilian municipalities, nearly 1,000 businesses and over 77,000 individuals who were negatively impacted by an accident at the Samarco iron ore complex.
