A more than $1.3 million settlement has been reached between the forensic drug testing company, Avertest, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Michigan over allegations that the company knowingly violated the False Claims Act by submitting improper claims for payment for drug tests.
Avertest, which does business under the name Averhealth, agreed to the $1,344,621 settlement, which did not include any determination of liability.
