New York city on Thursday sued the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., in its capacity as receiver for Silicon Valley Bank, over a $2.1 million tax claim, according to court records.

According to the lawsuit, which was filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, auditors in the New York City Department of Finance discovered an alleged tax deficiency during an audit in 2023. The complaint was first surfaced by Law.com Radar.
