New York’s top court on Thursday unanimously allowed out-of-state residents seeking employment in the Empire State to advance anti-discrimination claims.

The determination by the New York Court of Appeals answered a certified question from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in favor of an ex-Bloomberg Media reporter who had been working from a Washington, D.C., bureau.
