First Amendment lawyers continue to keep close tabs on a revived federal lawsuit in New York by a wedding photographer who alleges that the Empire State’s antidiscrimination laws compel her to take pictures of same-sex couples against her religious beliefs.

A federal district court judge in Western New York recently set Aug. 19 as the deadline for parties to meet, confer and file a joint proposal for further proceedings.
