NASCAR and its various partners are the subject of a wrongful-death suit from the estate of an engineer who died by electrocution while helping set up the company’s Chicago street-racing weekend event last summer.

Attorneys with the Clifford Law Offices in Chicago filed the complaint on behalf of the plaintiff, Kristin Tabinski as the special administrator for the estate of Duane E. Tabinski, Tuesday in the Illinois Circuit Court of Cook County. She is asking the court for a judgment of at least $50,000 against the defendants.
