Following a flat 2022, Manatt, Phelps & Phillips achieved strong financial gains for 2023 thanks to its efforts to integrate previous growth and its countercyclical approach.

The firm, which is made up of both lawyers and consultants, crossed over the $400 million mark last year, via a 6.4% gain in revenue, while also growing profits and compensation. And although head count growth slowed slightly, the firm opened a new office and worked to focus on integrating past hires while also improving retention.
