X in the Crosshairs in France as News Agency Sues to Compel Talks Over Compensation

For the second time in four years, a French news agency has sued a major media platform for failing to negotiate over payment for use of the agency’s content online.

Agence France-Presse has sued X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, in a French court for failing to discuss potential compensation for the distribution of AFP articles and images.
