Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International and other defendants were sued on Aug. 11 in California Eastern District Court over alleged sex trafficking activity. The court case, which claims violations of the federal Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act, was brought by Panish Shea Boyle Ravipudi LLP and the Provost Umphrey Law Firm on behalf of an anonymous plaintiff who claims that she was a victim of sex trafficking at the defendants’ hotels. The case is 2:23-cv-01676, Doe v. Wyndham Hotels and Resorts et al.
