Litigation funder Burford Capital Limited stands to collect more than $5 billion from a case it helped finance against the Republic of Argentina in the Southern District of New York.
U.S. District Judge Loretta Preska of the Southern District of California in Manhattan ruled Friday that Argentina owes investors roughly $16 billion stemming from a pair of long-running breach of contract lawsuits.
