Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Alan Fine learned he earned a seat on the state court bench at a Hanukkah party held at the Florida governor’s mansion.
Fine missed “the call” during a flight to Tallahassee. And in the evening, he was standing in “the receiving line” with Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Richard Hersch, who introduced himself to then-Gov. Rick Scott.
