While Jack Smith, the special counsel overseeing two indictments against former President Donald Trump, has spent the majority of his decadeslong career as a federal prosecutor, several other members of his legal teams have had stints at large law firms.

Prosecutors reportedly working with Smith on the Trump investigations, including David Harbach, David Rody, Timothy “Tad” Duree, John Pellettieri and Julie Edelstein, have spent portions of their careers in private practice at firms such as O’Melveny & Myers, Sidley Austin, Lankler Siffert & Wohl, Wiley Rein, and Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr.
