A New Haven County hospital is facing a medical malpractice lawsuit after a patient’s elective gastric procedure resulted in unexpected amputations caused by post-surgery sepsis.
Plaintiff counsel for Carol Proto allege Griffin Hospital staff’s “abysmal record” of diagnosing and treating sepsis according to established guidelines resulted in disfigurements to the Wallingford grandmother, and derailed her life.
