Meta Platforms, Facebook, Instagram and Siculus were slapped with a lawsuit Tuesday in Delaware District Court. The court action, brought by Beasley Allen Crow Methvin Portis & Miles and the Bifferato Firm on behalf of Jessica Guerrero, is part of a string of cases contending that the social media giants intentionally design their platforms to be addictive to minors, who can easily become depressed, develop eating disorders, become victims of cyberbullying or suffer other deleterious effects. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:22-cv-00750, Guerrero v. Meta Platforms, Inc. et al.
