Litigant’s ‘Self-Proving Rationale’ Doesn’t Warrant Chancery Look at Del. Election Laws

The Court of Chancery has once more ruled it doesn’t have jurisdiction over a case alleging constitutional violations, dismissing a request to undo changes to Delaware’s absentee and early voting laws Thursday.

The relief requested by the plaintiff, Michael Mennella, a registered voter and inspector of elections in Newark, Delaware, involves legal questions that can be resolved by the Superior Court, Vice Chancellor Sam Glasscock III decided in a letter opinion.
