Keep the Schnauzer, Not the Attorney Fees, Says Court in Couple’s Breakup

The Dallas appeals court reversed a $12,000 attorney fees award, but did not give the appellant custody of a miniature Schnauzer whose fate was the subject of a lawsuit in a same-sex couple’s breakup.

Alysse Barlow and Kendall Richardson, while in an intimate relationship in 2019, split the cost for purchasing the Schnauzer at the Petland store where Barlow worked.
