The more than 65 lawsuits filed in the wake of a Bronx fire that killed 17 people—including eight children—will move forward as a consolidated action, a judge has ruled.
Acting Bronx Supreme Court Justice Raymond Fernandez in early July granted a motion filed by plaintiffs’ lawyers consolidating the cases and appointing a “Plaintiffs Steering Committee” composed of five attorneys who are already representing hundreds of plaintiffs.
