When David Hughes of Hall Hirsh Hughes appeared before the Georgia Court of Appeals on Sept. 14, he argued his client’s appeal went beyond simply proving proximate cause in a wrongful death suit.
“To say that proximate cause will not apply to a supporting coordinator who’s reviewing the care of a person cannot take care of herself—what kind of policy message is that?” Hughes asked the panel, composed of made up of Presiding Judge Yvette Miller, Chief Judge Amanda Mercier and Judge Kenneth Hodges III.
