Ramona Unified School District in San Diego County and a defendant who worked as an assistant superintendent for the district were hit with a whistleblower and retaliation lawsuit on April 28. A lead custodian claims a staff member used derogatory language used towards disabled children and school leadership failed to admonish the individual who used that language or investigate the matter. The plaintiff, Armando Abarca-Ochoa, also alleges he was retaliated against for reporting the matter in the lawsuit filed in San Diego Superior Court.
