A Colgate University political scientist who has written extensively on legal affairs has been chosen to fill an opening for a nonlawyer on New York’s judicial misconduct watchdog. The appointment marks a return to service for Nina M. Moore on the commission that holds jurists in the state accountable.

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Thursday that she has appointed Moore to serve on the 11-member New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct, for a four-year term ending March 31, 2027.
