BCLP Dropped From Data Breach Class Action, But New Claim Arises

Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner has been removed from a U.S. class action that followed a breach of client Mondelez’s employee data, but is now the defendant in a second suit.

Lawyers for plaintiff Augustyn Wiacek—a former employee of the snack-food giant who brought the suit on behalf of himself and other employees—filed a notice on June 29 stating that the law firm had been dropped from the lawsuit by way of a ‘voluntary dismissal’ that was ‘without prejudice’.
