Linklaters has advised British-headquartered food supplier Tate & Lyle on its proposed acquisition of CP Kelco from JM Huber Corporation for $1.8 billion.

The deal involves Tate & Lyle taking control of three divisions, in the U.S., China and Denmark, of CP Kelco, which produces ingredients for pharmaceutical companies such as pectin and specialty gums.
