On Wednesday, legal analytics provider Lex Machina, a part of LexisNexis, announced the launch of Litigation Footprint, a major expansion of its litigation analytics that triples the total number of cases on its platform.

Specifically, Litigation Footprint adds party litigation analytics for 18 million new civil cases from 1,233 additional state courts, covering 25 new states and the District of Columbia. With the expansion, Lex Machina now offers legal analytics for over 27 million civil cases in total, from 94 federal courts and more than 1,330 state courts across 34 states and Washington D.C.
