Aside from generative AI—which has its own cybersecurity issues—stories of increasingly frequent cyber attacks on law firms and legal tech companies drew a lot of attention from LTN readers. Ransomware groups like LockBit, CLOP and BlackCat/ALPHV ramped up their attacks and honed their hacking strategies last year, and there’s no reason to think that they’ll slow down or stop upping their sophistication in 2024.
