For several years now, the wish list that legal departments have relied on to find the right outside counsel for their needs has featured some well-known items: They want modern firms that can deliver legal services in an efficient, cost-effective and innovative manner by leveraging technology.

And, while firms haven’t always met in-house counsel’s tech-expectations, their adoption of technology tools has been steadily on the rise—until recently.
