The fast-paced legal tech world is constantly evolving. At Legaltech News, we always try to bring you the latest news on hirings, product and feature releases, new integrations, legal tech mergers and acquisitions, and more. The Legal Tech Rundown is a periodic update of legal tech stories that might have gone under the radar over the past few weeks.

Aderant: On Aug. 8, legal business management provider Aderant announced two new updates to its iTimekeep time-tracking software. The first, iTimekeep’s Passive Time Assistant, aims to track and capture time in the background via analyzing users’ meetings, emails and other data. What’s more, the Passive Time Assistant automatically assigns the relevant client and matter to a time entry. Aderant also announced the iTimekeep’s Time Narrative Assistant, which analyzes which time entries are most likely to be approved by clients, and which need revision. While Passive Time Assistant was released in August, the Time Narrative Assistant will become available in a few months. Both updates are powered by the artificial intelligence virtual assistant MADDI, which Aderant introduced in June.
