Amid rising inflation and a precarious economic climate, one of Silicon Valley’s most acclaimed financial institutions has collapsed, sending tech companies into a frenzy and its general counsel, Michael Zuckert, likely into the fray against an uncertain federal response.
Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), founded in 1983, has been shut down by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) following a liquidity crisis. Law firms Cooley, Holland & Knight and Sullivan & Cromwell are advising SVB, according to various reports.
