For many in legal, ILTACON represents a golden opportunity each year to connect with some of the most tech-savvy players in the industry. That was certainly the case once again, but for me it was something more—the cap on my first year on the annual legal tech conference circuit as Editor-in-Chief here at Legaltech News.

Having started my role in September 2022, I was in a unique position to watch the legal industry react to the very public debut of generative AI, from the initial outsized hype, to the unhealthy fear, to the healthy cautious optimism, to eventually—hopefully—a mature adoption of the technology.
