Law Firms Expect GenAI to Reduce Reliance on Billable Hour

Most large U.K. law firms expect generative artificial intelligence to reduce their reliance on the billable hour, a survey has found.

Asked whether the technology would lead to less reliance on the billable hour 14 out of 26 firms said they believed so, while only two disagreed. Ten firms said they did not know or that it was too soon to say.
