Courts all over the country have long been accustomed to making good use of limited resources—may that be through cutting staff in tough times, slashing public pension systems, or McGyvering technology for unexpected challenges.

So, two years after many court officers clamped down on budgets in response to the pandemic, they now find themselves with some extra cash stashed away. What’s more, state priorities have funneled more funding and grant opportunities toward court IT departments than ever before, partly due to the need the for legal technology the pandemic shed light on.
