The rumblings about GPT-4 have been growing in recent days, and OpenAI finally confirmed the news on Tuesday—GPT-4, OpenAI’s “most advanced system,” is now publicly available. This new model is a next evolution in OpenAI’s GPT series of generative AI models. The company’s GPT-3.5 model, announced on Nov. 30, 2022, powers the popular ChatGPT chatbot.

According to the announcement from OpenAI, “GPT-4 can solve difficult problems with greater accuracy, thanks to its broader general knowledge and problem solving abilities,” and is capable of “producing safer and more useful responses.”
