A Legal Software Explosion? Generative AI Could Turbocharge Law Firms’ Tech Development

Generative AI’s ability to manipulate and understand the English language allows it to automate a host of legal tasks from document drafting to knowledge management. But it’s the technology’s capabilities with another language that may have an equally significant impact on the way law firms and their tech subsidiaries and spinoffs operate.

Generative AI’s expertise with coding languages is poised to boost the efficiency and productivity of software developers across the legal market—enabling law firms and their offshoots to create more software, faster, than ever before. But while generative AI will turbocharge tech development efforts, it won’t likely replace legal software developers altogether—even when it inevitably becomes more advanced.
