King & Spalding announced Thursday that it has added Mayer Brown partner Andrew Calica to its product liability and mass torts practice group, the latest of several hires in the firm’s disputes practices this year.
Calica represents companies in product liability and mass and class action litigation, as well as financial institutions in antitrust, commercial disputes, and commodities litigation, according to a statement on his hire. In an interview, Calica said he anticipates seeing more litigation related to microplastics, social media, and emerging contaminants in his practice in the future.
