Of the 10 appellate judges running to retain their Supreme Court of Georgia and Georgia Court of Appeals seats in the May 21 general nonpartisan primary election, the most junior now faces a challenger.

After being appointed by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve the remainder of outgoing-Chief Justice David E. Nahmias’ state supreme court term in July 2022, Justice Andrew A. Pinson is now seeking election to the high court.
