Judge Brittanye Morris of Harris County’s 333rd District Court faces a challenge in the Democratic primary, but her opponent tried to disqualify the incumbent even before voting could begin.

In January, Tracy Derek Good convinced the Harris County Democratic Party chair to keep Morris off the ballot, alleging Morris failed to properly fill out the application. The challenge was based on Morris inadvertently entering her driver’s license number in the ballot application field where her State Bar of Texas license number should have gone.
