VantageScore, a credit-scoring model designed by major credit bureaus Experian, Equifax and TransUnion, hired former Visa lawyer Kimberly Schmid as executive vice president and general counsel.
Schmid was senior counsel at Visa from January 2018 until January 2022, starting on its global regulatory affairs team before moving to senior managing counsel for global product, technology and business solutions. Before Visa, Schmid spent four years at paid debit card purveyor Netspend, where she was vice president and counsel. She also spent six years as an attorney adviser for the U.S. Department of Justice’s national security division.
