Trying to Control Legal Spend? Beware Budgeting Buckets

It’s time to retire the phrase, “do more with less.” It’s overused and often impossible to achieve. Sometimes more can’t be done with less – that’s something that GCs know all too well.

Ninety-nine percent of in-house legal leaders report that their department is facing an increase in both the volume and complexity of legal matters. Yet 98% of those same leaders are seeing their budget cut as a result of the economic slowdown. For 92% of legal leaders, that means their department does not have the resources it needs to do its job – managing company risk — effectively.
