Too Much Work Causes Legal Department Burnout, But It’s Not That Simple

Unmanageable workloads are a leading cause of, but not the sole reason for, legal team burnout, a workplace stress consultant said during a presentation at the CLOC Global Institute conference in Las Vegas Tuesday.

Other factors are workplace recognition and values dissonance, said Paula Davis, a former corporate lawyer who’s now CEO of the Stress & Resilience Institute. Her CLOC session was titled “Addressing the 6 Core Causes of Burnout for Your Legal Team.”
