BASF’s Corporate Legal, Compliance and Insurance Department is a Law Journal In-House Impact award honoree for its work in pro bono and community service. The department has provided consistent support to Pro Bono Partnership’s nonprofit clients, assisting 19 of them with 24 matters since the beginning of 2020, according to the Parsippany-based organization.

No less than six current members of the department, Pro Bono Partnership said, have played a key role in this effort, including Cristina Baragona, assistant general counsel for compliance, employment and privacy; Suzanne Flaton-Origenes, vice president and IP general counsel, USA and catalysts; Terri Freeman, assistant general counsel for compliance, employment and privacy; Joseph Prevete, global e-discovery and U.S. corporate records manager; Louise Trezza, assistant GC for benefits, compliance and employment; and Catherine Trinkle, vice president, deputy GC and head of government affairs.
