Compensation for heavy machinery giant John Deere’s general counsel dropped 13%, to $5.45 million, in the fiscal year that ended Oct. 31, the company disclosed in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing Wednesday.
Mary Jones, who has been with the Moline, Illinois-based company for 25 years and has been general counsel since January 2019, saw her salary increase from $810,464 to $834,788. But that was offset by smaller grants of stock and stock options and less non-equity compensation.
