Dollar Tree has tapped Diebold Nixdorf’s Jonathan Leiken to replace chief legal officer Janet Dhillon, who left the struggling discount retailer after four months on the job.

The company announced Leiken’s hire Monday. In a statement, Dollar Tree CEO Rick Dreiling said Leiken is a “seasoned attorney and business leader with proven expertise across a number of industries, including the retail and financial sectors,” and that his credentials in regulatory compliance, corporate governance and commercial litigation “make him uniquely suited for this role.”
